How it works

Milk Thistle has a protective effect on cell membranes due to its strong antioxidant and free radical scavenging action. It assists in detoxification processes in the liver by conserving reduced glutathione.

The main active constituents of Milk Thistle are a complex of flavanolignans which are collectively known as silymarin, and include silybin, silydianin and silychristin. Silymarin stimulates manufacture of protein in the liver, resulting in an increased production and regeneration of new liver cells replacing old and damaged cells.

Dosage

Adults - Take one tablet three times daily with meals, or as professionally prescribed. Drink 6 - 8 glasses of water a day whilst using this product.

Children (under 12 years) - As professionally prescribed.

Side Effects
